This is an important part of Carthaginian economy.<\/p>\n<p>In this canton are three of the great contributions for Costa Rica&#8217;s world tourism:<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: x-large;\">The Iraz\u00fa Volcano:<\/span> Here&#8217;s where the Iraz\u00fa Volcano National Park is located with its impressive craters accessible to visitors. It is easy to reach. It&#8217;s connected with the city of Cartago and the Greater Metropolitan Area.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: x-large;\">The Dur\u00e1n Sanatorium:<\/span> Legendary hospital located 7 km from the city of Cartago declared as historical-architectural heritage of Costa Rica. It was built thanks to the initiative of Dr. Carlos Dur\u00e1n Cart\u00edn in order to attend people with tuberculosis.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: x-large;\">Prussia Park:<\/span> A charming forest with 16 km of trails with abundant in vegetation and wildlife. It\u2019s part of the Iraz\u00fa Volcano National Park. It is a peaceful meditative place and the site where the Reventado River is born.
